Supplying the correct measurements is vital to ensuring that we send you a dress that fits correctly, as if the measurements are wrong, the dress will be the wrong size. We strongly suggest that get a professional seamstress to help you with these measurements, taking our form along to ensure we get all the measurements our seamstress requires. However, if you choose to do them yourself, you MUST get a friend or family member to help you, as it is impossible to get this correct by yourself.

Please wear only the underwear that you will be wearing at your wedding (or similar, if you have not yet purchased them). Thus if you will wear a bra on your wedding, measure with a bra on, if you will not be wearing a bra, please measure with your bra off. No shoes to be worn.

Terms:

  • Neck front: The hollow at the base of your throat/neck
  • Neck back: The base of the neck at the back
  • Floor: Always measure at a slight angle out from the body when doing a measurement to the floor, which is how your dress would naturally lie.

Before you begin: please tie a measuring tape, ribbon or similar around your natural waistline. This runs around your body, and runs through your navel. This acts as a baseline for many of the measurements you will be taking. The following measurements are required for all styles of dresses, and each one is necessary.
